CARTER SCHWENT

My time on Pioneer Yearbook began as a spread designer my sophomore year. During this time I learned valuable teamwork skills, as well as how to use Adobe InDesign. Come Junior year, I switched to the photography staff, and became a photo editor after first semester. During this time I grew my personal Instagram account to market my photos and also learned some basic leadership values that I would carry with me to senior year. Come senior year, I became one of 4 editors-in-chief of Pioneer, teaching me extremely valuable real world leadership lessons as well as valuable communication skills.

I also joined Pep Nation and Kirkwood DECA my senior year, which continued to grow my experience in the field of business marketing, client relations, entrepreneurship, and social media design.

In Pep Nation, I created several theme drop videos for the football team, created several game day posts for the boys' and girls' volleyball teams, ice hockey team, baseball team, and football team. In addition to creating content for Instagram, I also coordinated photoshoots and video shoots.

Outside of sports marketing, I worked with a local ad agency to create an integrated marketing campaign for Porsche, designed a mock music festival in Boulder, CO, and worked with a local money management firm and restaraunt to help brainstorm ideas for gaining more clients in their target market.
